A > GrowShow is a one-stop solution for the visual preservation of your child's growth, through a time-lapse photo & framing system that is unlike anything else.
In a world of countless photo storage, photo sharing, photo printing, and photo framing services, GrowShow is unique, both on the web side, and on the framing side:
Unique on the web side:
GrowShow is the only web service with a focus on time-lapsing the growth of a child. Time sequencing is automatic and easy, because GrowShow reads the date of capture on your photos so correct time ordering "just happens". It's fun to build your timelapse sequence (called a "GrowSlide"), amazing to visualize the change of a growing child, fun to share, and free to use. You can then use this timelapse sequence to build a "GrowPrint", which is delivered to you framed in whole new way.
Unique on the framing side:
Our patented, magnetic GrowFrame system actually grows with your child, allowing you to add on to your sequence over time. There is simply nothing else like it. See it in action. This invention has applications far beyond their use with the GrowPrint, so you can also buy our GrowFrames separately in our Frame Shop. The myriad combinations and possibilities of the GrowFrame System are tough to count.
A > While GrowShow reserves the right to change our Terms of Service at any time, we currently have no plans to ever charge Members at our Standard level of service to access their accounts, store and share photos, and create GrowSlides.
A > Your free GrowShow membership allows you to participate in the GrowShow community by uploading photos, editing and sharing GrowSlides, creating and purchasing framed GrowPrints & Frames, and the ability to opt in to receive expert advice updates on the stages of development and other topics that are featured on our blog.
A > Hey, happens to the best of us. Click here and let us know your e-mail and a new one will be sent to you.
A > If you remember your current password, you can change your password as many times as you like by logging in to your account and clicking "Account".
A > Quality prints require high resolution photos. In our desire to provide the highest quality framed prints we do not limit the file size of our customers accounts. For unusually large hosting requests or inappropriate photos please see our Terms of Service. Files should be in JPEG format to work with our editing software and printing service. Also, be sure that the photos you are uploading end with a ".jpg" in their file name.
A > Knock yourself out. You can never have too many attractively framed GrowPrints and GrowSlides to share with your friends and family.
A > Once you have edited your photos and created a GrowSlide simply click the Share link to email an invitation to friends and family. Only the people that you have sent an invitation to will be able to view your growing child.
In the near future, you will also have the ability to post a link to a GrowSlide on your Facebook account.
A > Our GrowSlide software is configured to work directly with your camera's jpeg format – the standard format for photographic image compression. We advise that you keep your camera settings at higher resolutions for professional quality prints. It is also important that your camera's date setting is correct, that GrowShow's automated time sequencing works properly.
A > Please let us know using any method of contact provided at the top of this page. We strive to provide our users a no-hassle experience and to make the entire process fun, safe and efficient.
A > On your account home, click "Account" in the upper right, and choose the "Delete my GrowShow Account" option. Keep in mind, once an account is deleted, there will be no way to retrieve it.
A > Please read our Terms of Service to see what to do – and more importantly – what not to do, in order to be a GrowShow model citizen.
A > Approximate the date for where your photo looks most appropriate in the sequence, i.e., if you want to place a photo between one taken in March of 2006 with one from April 2007, input any date that falls within this range.
If you feel like you ended up with too many "fuzzy" dates in your time-lapse sequence, you can remove date display in both your GrowSlide, and date printing in your GrowPrint.
A > You may be using an unsupported browser or platform. Our web applications require more recent browsers (Firefox, Internet Explorer 7 or newer, Safari, etc.) to display and function properly. You should also confirm that you have the latest version of Flash by going here.
A > Be sure that the photos you are uploading are jpegs, and that those photo files end with a ".jpg" in their file name.
Sometimes your connection can time out with larger file sizes, so be sure to double-check that your photo is no larger than 10 megabytes. Slower internet connections may require even smaller file sizes. You can make the file smaller by reducing its size or jpeg quality settings. If the file is under 10 megabytes and you're still having trouble, please contact GrowShow technical support using one of the contact methods at the top of this page.
A > At the present time our operating procedures make it cost prohibitive for us to offer this service. Please check out our Frame Store and have your local printer provide the custom scanning and color correction services to complete your GrowPrint.
A > Absolutely. In our Frame Store you will find the 3" X 3" GrowFrame Squares, and standard 4" X 6" GrowFrame, all available in solid alder with a dark or clear finish, and all are built to snap together securely. The 3" x 12" GrowFrame is only available with the purchase of a built-to-order GrowPrint.
Our patented, magnetically assembled GrowFrame system allows a near countless number of possibilities and configurations for both the desk and wall.
A > We do our best to ensure all frames and prints meet our rigorous quality control standards before they are shipped. However should your product arrive defective, or if it is damaged in the shipping process, return the product to GrowShow and we will replace it at no additional cost.
